In 2021, New Zealanders will continue to face adversity and challenges personally and professionally. We all need support and resources to face these head on, while keeping our focus on the future.

Based on the best-selling business book, The Art of Deliberate Success: The 10 Behaviours of Successful People, Centre for Lifelong Learning (Victoria University of Wellington) are offering a series of three 75-minute seminars held once a week over three weeks.

This research based interactive seminar series is hosted virtually using the Zoom platform with Dr David Keane as facilitator. There is "fun work" before each seminar and the opportunity to talk with Dr Keane afterwards. The seminars are focused on implementation of the 10 Behaviours ensuring you come away with specific ideas for action, and a new mindset for looking at all aspects of your life.

Series outline:

Seminar 1: What Matters Most
Success is not all down to hard work, determination, and a never-give-up attitude. Learn valuable skills to help you successfully manage the demands of day-to-day life.

Seminar 2: Getting Stuff Done10 Behaviours book and smartphone
Learn how to think differently about time and get vastly improved results resulting in less stress and better life-work balance.

Seminar 3: Success is a Choice
Discover the critical choices you can make to determine your success e.g. what to focus on, relationships, how to use information, and what to think.

Who should attend:

The 10 Behaviours is suitable for anybody. Typically, attendees are:

  • Interested in achieving their full potential in all aspects of their lives.
  • Wanting to learn personal productivity tools to reduce stress, overcome procrastination, and enable better concentration on tasks.
  • People who have too much to do and too little time.
  • Professionals who are early to mid-career and want to get to the next level.
  • Senior professionals who are looking ahead or at a transition phase of some kind.
  • Individuals who want to achieve better work/life integration.

Series format and resources:

The seminar series is restricted to a maximum of 50 participants.

Cost is $595 (excluding GST) per person. All participants receive an activation code for accessing the 10 Behaviours App which hosts an audio version of the best-selling book by Dr David Keane; a downloadable notebook to be used during the seminar plus many other powerful tools and resources. Completion of the "fun work" (approximately 2.5 hours) before each seminar maximises your learning experience.
