Todd Krieble, Deputy Chief Executive, NZIER, BSc, MPH, MPP
Todd has provided economic and policy advice to public, private and NGO clients. Major projects have been delivered on a range of subjects including health, environment, housing and cultural issues. Todd has held senior management positions in the Ministry of Health, Ministry for the Environment, Department of Labour and the Ministry for Culture and Heritage. Todd worked in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet’s Policy Advisory Group from 2004-2007 as the health policy advisor and chaired the Officials’ Social Policy Committee.
He has led New Zealand delegations to the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, UN Environment Programme and WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control. In 2000 he was seconded to the Office of Director General at the World Health Organisation to work on agency reform.
